These figures come from ยฉ Richard van der Blom, trainer for Just Connecting – LinkedIn & Social Selling Training HUB, who has just published a report that proposes a state of the art of the LinkedIn algorithm in 2022.
A rich report where I deliver the main insights:
๐ The survey is no longer the king format and so much the better… From now on, the visibility of formats is more homogeneous where we find PDF Documents (or carousels) in first place.
LinkedIn does not favor Articles & Newsletters, which is a shame for these written formats.
๐ The analysis of the relevance of your publications through 3 phases: 90 minutes after its publication, then 8H then then based on the two previous phases.
๐ The confirmation of the difference of the weights of the commitments.
I recommend you to use the following formula: Like < View More < Share < Comment
Publishing optimally on LinkedIn has become very technical but with common sense, there are a few rules to know:
โก๏ธ Do not tag more than 15 people especially if they do not interact
โก๏ธ Opt for emojis to facilitate readability, up to 10 emojis
โก๏ธ Post selfies to achieve 3x more engagement
Recommended hashtags are between 2 to 6, for Richard it’s between 3 to 5, it depends how you read the report.
โก๏ธ Do not edit your posts in the first 10 minutes to avoid penalties
โก๏ธ Engaging with others can increase your reach by 20% after your publication
